a) I took a new full time day job last summer, which has been beyond amazing for so many reasons. However, it cuts into the time I previously had to spend on art when I was only working a part time job.
b) My dear old computer has finally started to go. All of my software is on a seven and a half year old MacBook Pro. This baby has served me well, but the OS is beyond outdated, and it no longer charges a battery, so it always has to be plugged in. Therefor sitting down to do some digital doodling is more of a chore now.
On the bright side, reason A has put me in a position to remedy reason B, which never would have been financially possible working a part time job.
So I've stayed busy. I did another set of wedding invitations for some dear friends, another playbill cover for the U of M TORT musical (below), and am working on getting two other projects done as well.
In the interim I've done a bit of doodling and prompted myself to update here!
I've taken lately to going through old artwork and updating it--its a fun practice; taking concepts and improving execution. One of those is below.
